“Saving the bird’s nest” is a story about a pub owner in Copenhagen, that mobilized the local community to fight for the preservation of a building - and won! In the North West area of Copenhagen a rapid urban development proces is taking place. The situation is triggering a conflict between those wishing to keep the local identity as it was, and those in favor of making a new. It’s a classic conflict and a difficult dilemma raising the question: Who has the power to define the city?

In “Saving the bird’s nest” we harvest and share the tactics and tools used by the community in their collective struggle to influence the future of their neighborhood.
